Goodguys Iowa to Ohio Cruise 2011

Kick-off party for the Iowa to Ohio Goodguys cruise. This was held at the shop of cruise leader David Ruhs.
This years "Ya Gotta Drive'em To Get There" cruise from Des Moines to Columbus started off with a kick off party on Sunday evening at Dave Ruhs shop in West DesMoines. Dave and his wife Sandy put on a great spread of food and drinks along with some great hospitality. Monday morning everyone meets at the host hotel for a quick cup of coffee, brief drivers meeting, and then its time to get into your hot rods to head out for a wonderful fun filled week of cruisin down the road with great stops along the way. This was our eigth time doing this cruise and we have to tell you it's a blast. There are quite a few that are repeat cruisers with some new ones joining for their first time. It's not just the cars that you get to see and enjoy, or the shops and stops along the way, but rather the people in those cars you get to meet and get to know for the next four days on the road. Once in Columbus we are to meet at the Crown Plaza Host Hotel where they have a special area roped off just for the Iowa to Ohio cruisers. So, if your itching to experience a cruise with hot rodders, The Goodguys Cruise from Iowa to Ohio would be a good one to experience for the first time. Just keep in mind "Ya Gotta Drive'em To Get There. Happy cruisin to all of you, whereever your travels take you.
