PPG Columbus Goodguys Nats 2015

18th Annual...

  • We have so many favorite shows that we attend every season. In 2013 the Columbus Goodguys was special because it was the first year for the LIA Magazine Award. For 2014 we were delighted on the selection to pick from for our LIA Magazine award for our 2nd year pick. For this year there was again many nice lady owned vehicles to pick from. Besides our award vehicles there were the Street Rod and Street Machine of the Year vehicles to gaze your eyes over, and many other Goodguys Specialty Awards.

Besides all the cruising there is also the autocross at the Nationals. We love watching the autocross. This year was an absolute blast because we got to watch the ones vying for the Street Machine & Street Rod of the year make their passes on the course. Of course anyone in the bid for a project can find any make and model back in the area where the vehicles are for sale plus any parts you are looking for your current project back at home. I found a neat vehicle that I would have loved to take home, however, the spouse said we have a project '69 Z28 Camaro and no more room to take on a project. I hated to concede, however, he was right. Maybe some day in the future when the Camaro is done we can see about another project car. There is also kids games, food, and a plethora of other activities that are endless.

This year on Saturday we did something that we don't normally do and that is arrive at the grounds before the sun rises. It was so cool to watch all the other vehicle owners come on grounds that early and claim stake to their perfect spot. As a photographer we look at this totally different, the lighting was phenomenal as I knew it would be. I was in seven heaven capturing of few owners driving in on grounds.

If you have never been to the show be sure to come out to Columbus Ohio for 2016.
